Marathon peal at St. Michael’s Church

This Friday afternoon, January 24th, the church bells of St Michaels Church will ring in a peal, a non-stop sequence of at least 5,000 changes, with each pattern unique and never repeated.

This intricate performance, rung on the ten bells, will take approximately three hours to complete. It is the bell ringers’ equivalent of a marathon, demanding both intense concentration and physical stamina to finish.
