Congratulations to Team St. Dominic’s, who represented St. Dominic’s Priory School in Stone in the UK Corporate Games last weekend.
This year’s games were hosted in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Over 5,000 amateur sportsmen and women representing some of the largest companies across the UK went head-to-head in a myriad of sports including tennis, football, cricket, badminton, basketball, cycling, golf, hockey, karting, netball, rugby, running, softball, squash, swimming etc.
St. Dominic’s Priory School were represented by four team members whose chosen discipline was tennis – Rebecca Harrison (headteacher), Gareth Cunningham (general manager/bursar), Barbara Capper (PE teacher) and Ali Davidson (marketing manager) all competed, and did the school proud.
They achieved the following results –
- Barbara Capper – winner – Ladies Singles Tennis – open category
- Barbara Capper and Ali Davidson – winners – Ladies Tennis – doubles open category
- Rebecca Harrison and Gareth Cunningham – 3rd place – Mixed Doubles Tennis – over 40s
