Midsummer Festival details revealed

Transition Stone

Transition Stone have unveiled the activities for their Midsummer Festival which is taking place at The Hayes on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June.

On the Saturday from 10am, visitors can help to build grottos and domes for the Transition Celebration, which starts at 6pm and features live music, a lightshow, campfire and bring-and-share food. Camping is also available in the grounds of The Hayes.

The Sunday, from 10am to 5pm, will see lots of stalls, workshops, talks, demonstrations and films, featuring everything from bread making and yoga to a book swap and tips to reduce your energy bills. There’s also a children’s area featuring face painting and lots of art and crafts.

Tickets are available in advance from Wikijum in the High Street, by emailing info@transitionstone.co.uk or by calling 07724 560827. A limited number of tickets will be available on both days.

Tickets cost £4 for Saturday 10am to 6pm, £4 for Saturday after 6pm, £4 for Sunday and £2 for under-12s. Camping on the Saturday night costs £5 per person, with under-12s free.
