The team behind Stone Food & Drink Festival are running a midsummer Real Ale Trail again this year following the success of a similar event last year.
Departing The Pheasant on Old Road in Stone at 6.30pm on Tuesday 19th June, revellers will board minibuses that will then take them on a tour of no less than eight of the best real ale hostelries in Stone’s surrounding villages. Stops this year are:
- The Brushmakers Arms, Oulton
- The Boar, Moddershall
- The Shoulder of Mutton, Fulford
- The Roebuck, Hilderstone
- The Green Man, Milwich
- The Red Lion, Day Hills
- The Railway at Norton Bridge
- The Labour in Vain in Yarnfield.
With the chance to sample (at least!) one real ale in each of the pubs, and with each landlord laying on some kind of fare, the trail is expected to be as popular as ever.
Festival chairman Richard Stevens said: “Our Real Ale Trails always go down a storm in the run-up to festival week and we were delighted with the response to our first midsummer event last year. Advance booking is essential as we’re always over-subscribed, so ensure you contact us as soon as possible to secure your tickets.”
Tickets for the Real Ale Trail are £15 per person, inclusive of minibus transport and light buffet refreshment in the pubs. To book call 01785 818289. Hi.
We have been trying to get tickets since this article was released. The number published just keeps ringing out. Could you advise if the trail is still going ahead and how we can get tickets ?
Thanks
Rachel
