The women and girls at Moddershall Cricket Club are back training outside in anticipation of the season ahead of them – and what a busy season it will be.
The senior team start their season on Sunday 26th April with their first League match at home against Horton House CC in Division 2 of the Women’s Midlands League.
The Moddershall women and senior girls also play in the South East Staffs Women’s League, which is a super developmental league for players of all abilities and ages. Last season Moddershall, entering two teams, not only won this League but came runners up as well!
At Moddershall we work hard at developing home-grown talent,” said Jane Martin from the club. “Many of our current senior team begun as youngsters playing over the years in the various age groups., and at representative County junior level cricket. Our philosophy is simple – never forget that you play for fun! If you would like to join us at Moddershall you would be made very welcome. Come and have a go.”
Training nights are:
- Wednesdays: 6.30pm – 8.30pm for the Women, U15s and U13s
- Fridays: 6.30 – 8.00pm for the U11s and U9s
