A local landscape gardener will be celebrating his 40th birthday in style this weekend – by climbing Mont Blanc to raise money for Stone charity SAMS.
Chris Cope begins the climb on Sunday 2nd September and hopes to reach the summit by Wednesday. Chris is hoping to raise £2,000 for SAMS, a peer-to-peer support group for people with life-limiting conditions based on the Whitebridge estate.

In other SAMS news, the charity is auctioning two tickets for the Stoke City v Swansea City fixture on 29th September. The tickets are being auctioned as part of their fundraising efforts.
