The stars of this year’s Food & Drink Festival made a dramatic entrance into the town on Sunday morning as they were joined by members of the Moto Guzzi club for a cavalcade to Westbridge Park.
Hundreds of people gathered at The Three Crowns on Lichfield Road to see Hairy Bikers Dave and Si lead the cavalcade on their way to their first cookery demonstration at the Gourmet Food Marquees.
Dozens of riders from the Stoke-on-Trent branch of the Moto Guzzi club and further afield braved the rain to take part in the spectacle.
Si and Dave posed for photographs – including some with babies – signed autographs and chatted with fans.
Before the cavalcade, The Three Crowns was packed with riders who were enjoying a warm hot chocolate before the cavalcade began.
The Hairy Bikers are on the festival site all day and were doing two demonstrations, at 11am and 2pm.
