Motorcyclist dies in A34 collision

A motorcyclist died in a collision on the A34 in Stone on Tuesday (21st April).

Emergency services were called to the serious road traffic collision on the northbound carriageway of the A34 at Pirehill at around 4.30pm. Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the motorcyclist – Kevin Hall, who was 55 and from Newcastle – died at the scene. His family have been informed and are being offered support from specially trained officers.

The road remained closed in both directions for several hours while specialist officers from the regional collision investigation unit examined the scene, with traffic diverted. Staffordshire Police thanked motorists this morning for their patience while the road was closed.
