Stone Choral Society will be performing one of the most enigmatic pieces of music ever written when they perform Mozart’s Requiem at Christ Church in April.
It was left unfinished by the composer at his death in 1791. Myths and controversies surround it, especially around how much of the piece was completed by Mozart before his death.
The society will take on the classic at Christ Church, Christchurch Way, on Saturday 2nd April. For ticket information, email tickets@stonechoral.org.uk
Stone Choral Society is a mixed choir of around 70 singers. Members perform three or four concerts a year in and around the town. They rehearse on Thursday nights in term time at St Dominic’s school hall and sing a wide range of music, from Bach to Britten, madrigals, folk songs and show tunes.
