The branch of the UK’s largest charity for parents that covers Stone is looking for local people to join its team of volunteers.
The NCT Stafford, Chase & District branch already has a few local mums and dads who volunteer to co-ordinate activities for other parents. The Branch offers Bumps & Babies groups, Babywearing meets & Nappucinos, Nearly New Sales and more to help expectant and new parents to get together to meet others in the same situation and to make friends.
Team roles are varied, interesting and fun – you can use different skills and there’s something for everyone, even if you only have a small amount of time to offer. Support is always given by the team – you’ll get a sense of pride and achievement for your efforts, make new friends and have some useful experience to add to your CV too.
As well as team roles, the branch is always happy to welcome volunteers who are able to help from time to time like at our NCT Nearly New Sales or on the helper rota for Bumps & Babies groups.
A spokesperson for NCT Stafford, Chase & District said: “If you support NCT and want to make a difference for local parents, why not think about volunteering? You can get involved in as much or as little as you like, depending on the time you have available and it’s a great way to meet other parents in the area.”

The next branch meeting is on 28th November 2012 between 8pm and 10pm at the County Staff Club, 77 Eastgate Street, Stafford ST16 2NG. Everyone is welcome, including babes in arms and you do not have to be a member to go along.
