A drop-in event is being held on 7th May for local people and groups to find out more about the creation of a new community allotment in the town.
Stafford and Rural Homes has secured funding with Stafford Borough Council for a new and exciting ‘Growing Health’ project which will involve developing four allotment sites across the borough in Stone (in the Priory estate), Barlaston, Blythe Bridge and Littleworth.
A drop-in event is being held on Thursday 7th May between 5pm and 7pm at Sycamore Road Community Room if you’d like to find out more or get involved.
Laura MacPhee, SARH community involvement officer, said: “We have identified a piece of land off Priory Road that is derelict and overgrown and we are going to work with the local community to turn this into an allotment site. As well as local residents, we would like community groups to get involved in the project. If you would like more information or would like to register your interest in the project, come along to the drop-in session. We look forward to seeing you there!”
