A new farm shop has opened its doors beside Coffee n Cones by the ford at Downs Bank, bringing a mix of local produce and freshly baked goods to the area.
The shop opened on Friday 7 November and offers a relaxed countryside stop for anyone looking to pick up something fresh or local. Each Friday, customers can enjoy bread delivered from a local baker alongside sausage rolls and pork pies from Griffins of Stone, plus cakes from Claire’s Glorious Cakes.
Shelves are stocked with seasonal vegetables, eggs, jams, chutneys, sauces and cheeses. There’s also lots of doggy treats for mans best friend too!
Set next to the popular Coffee n Cones spot, the Ford Farm Shop is a handy stop for walkers and families exploring the area.
The shop’s opening hours are:
- Monday and Tuesday 10 am to 3 pm
- Closed Wednesday
- Thursday and Friday 10 am to 3 pm
- Saturday and Sunday 9.30 am to 4.30 pm
It will also be open every day throughout the school holidays.
The team say they’ve already had a warm welcome from locals stopping by. They’re keen to build on that sense of community while keeping the shelves filled with quality local goods.
