Stone Community Hub unveiled their new kitchen on Tuesday (24th September) after a refurbishment.
The kitchen is used daily on weekdays (except Thursdays) for the provision of refreshments but primarily on a Monday when a free two course lunch is provided to anyone in need, who is lonely or eats alone for the main part.
In the last year over 700 meals were provided to people from the Stone area who chose to access the free meal service, along with the annual Christmas party, serving at least 60 people a three course traditional Christmas meal.

The new facility, based at the Frank Jordan Centre, will and has indeed already greatly improved the service the Hub can provide by making preparation and service of meals much easier.
