New tea room has lofty ambitions

The Loft Tea RoomVisitors to Fleur’s Tea Room take over the lease and open up as The Loft Tea Room

We are all guilty of making an unplanned purchase but when Penkridge couple David Cowley and Carole Price visited Stone Farmers Market they decided to buy a tea room!

Following a lovely morning pottering around the farmers market, David and Carole popped into Fleur’s Tea Room for a coffee. While sipping on their drinks they saw the notice that the following weekend Fleur’s would be closing as the owner, Fiona, had decided to move into bespoke outside catering.

David explained to A Little Bit of Stone:

“We have businesses in the Childcare sector however Carole has always wanted a Tea Room and this was an opportunity not to be missed. We took over the lease the following Tuesday!

“The new business is called The Loft Tea Room, and is being ran by our ‘Star Baker’ Andrea Wood who has many years experience in the catering industry and makes the most fantastic cakes.

“We refurbished the tea room to give it a fresh new look have revamped the menu so people should definitely pop in to see what we have to offer”

The Loft Tea Room opened on Saturday 1st September and can be found upstairs from Just Carla and Tylmans of Stone on Granville Square.

Carole added:

“We are also taking bookings for private parties, baby showers and afternoon tea. Why not have your private function with our homemade cakes and scones? Contact The Loft Tea Room for further details.”

You can find The Loft Tea Room on Facebook or call them on 07745 444129
