The 2015 BBC Food and Farming Awards are looking for the best in UK food and farming.
Now in their 15th year, the awards honour the very best food producers and retailers, but they’re also looking to find the UK’s best food market.
Nominations are now open and will close on Monday 26th January, so please get nominating – like we have – Stone farmers’ market in the ‘Best Food Market’ category.
The market is such an asset to the town, with over 50 stalls selling the very best in local produce on the first Saturday of each month. More than that, it’s a hub for the whole community, with local organisations and charities using the market and the thousands of people it draws in as a base to connect with local people. In short, it’s a brilliant market and worthy of the award! Click HERE to nominate.
The next farmers’ market is on Saturday 7th February.
There are 10 categories in all, so why not nominate Stone-based food producers in the relevant categories too? Perhaps Lymestone Brewery in the ‘Best Drinks Producer’ category, or Hollywood Cottage Goat Meats in the ‘Best Food Producer’ category?
