Beloved poet Pam Ayres will headline this year’s Sandon Literature Festival, which returns to the grand setting of Sandon Hall on Saturday, 18th October and Sunday, 19th October 2025.
Now in its fourth year, the festival promises two days of talks and conversations with acclaimed authors, campaigners and creatives.
A line-up to inspire
The weekend programme features a varied mix of speakers, including:
- Rachel Joyce, bestselling author of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
- Kadiatu Kanneh-Mason, mother of the celebrated musical family
- Carry Somers, founder of Fashion Revolution and sustainable fashion campaigner
- Paul Lamb, hedgelayer and countryside craftsman
- Ben Masters and Caroline Sanderson, memoirists with distinctive voices
- Award-winning novelist Susan Fletcher
- Former Stafford MP Theo Clarke
Festival-goes will get the chance to hear from a host of fascinating authors in the glorious setting of Sandon Hall.
Supporting a local cause
All profits from the festival will go to Staffordshire Women’s Aid, a countywide charity offering vital support and refuge for women and children experiencing domestic abuse.
Festival organisers say they are grateful to Burleigh Pottery, the headline sponsor, whose commitment to heritage and community echoes the ethos of the event.
