Tickets are now on sale – and selling fast – for a panto that will be performed by Stone youngsters at the Mitchell Arts Centre in Hanley.

‘Robin Hood & His Merry Crew – the Panto’ will be performed  from Wednesday 7th to Saturday 10th November and is a modern take on the classic tale. Stafford-born actor Nick Earnshaw has written the panto and will direct the young stars from Stone’s Pop School and Stage Academy and Little Luvvies, based at the town’s Rooftop Studios.

Elaine Bird, principal at Rooftop Studios, said: “Every year we have a big musical show in November, but this is the first time we’ve ever put on a panto and I have to admit it’s been huge fun for everyone involved. The youngsters have gained so much from Nick’s professional experience in panto – this year he’ll once again be playing a Dame in a big production in the South East. The atmosphere in rehearsals has been buzzing, and we really can’t wait to take to the stage as there should be some really great interaction with the audience.”

‘Robin Hood & his Merry Crew – the Panto’ will run at the Mitchell Arts Centre in Hanley from 7th to 10th November with evening performances and a Saturday matinee. Tickets will be £12.50 for adults and £10 for concessions, with discounts available on group bookings. There’s a special deal for groups of 20 or more who book on the Wednesday evening of just £5 a ticket. To book call 01785 761233 or email info@rooftopstudios.co.uk.
