A host of young musical talent was on show at Christ Church Academy on Saturday 4th July as one-day mini music festival ‘Stone Rocks’ turned the school fields into an explosion of sound and colour.
Organised by Christ Church teacher Kieron Harrison, with support from Stone’s Young Musicians’ Collective, the day saw dozens of young people taking to one of two stages to show just what they could do. Youngsters from Christ Church Academy and other local schools took part, as well as performers from the Young Musicians’ Showcase that’s held at Costa in Stone High Street and organised by Tony Hollinshead and Ben Owen, who performed at the end of the day.
There was face painting, burgers and paella from The Mill and even a mini steam train. A brilliant day – well done to everyone involved!
