Bringing together fitness & fun, Staffordshire’s first fitness festival plans to be the first of its kind for the area.
Similar to a food & drink festival, but with a fitness theme, the one-stop-festival is aimed at fitness fanatics or for those with an interest in keeping fit, healthy and well!
The planning for the event is at an early stage, with a date of the 29th June pencilled in. The event is subject to the necessary licence being granted by the council, but the organisers wanted to share the details for interested attendees and exhibitors.
Chelsey Farmer, Stone resident and event organiser told A Little Bit of Stone:
“I’m delighted to be hosting the event here in my hometown of Stone. The event is aimed at all those interested in fitness, heath & well-being, which is of course very important to maintain. My aim is to involve as many of Staffordshire’s fitness businesses so the event becomes a platform to showcase what amazing facilities we have across the county.
Guests can choose to take part in the many classes and challenges, or they can simply come along and enjoy the workshops, healthy cooking demonstrations and the product stalls. The event is family friendly and will be a great day out for everyone. It’s been a sell out in other counties and so we can’t wait for the day. I am encouraging any businesses who want to take part to contact me ASAP as demand is high and exhibition space will be issued on a first come first served basis ”
The festival has the following planned:
- Multiple classes of various intensity throughout the day – complete as many as you like, from “feel the burn” to “easy like Saturday morning” workouts
- Workout challenges, including “last standing” and “ultimate Fit-Fest challenge
- Pre & post workout food
- Bars & music (after all the hard work!) available throughout the day
- Healthy cooking demonstrations
- Healthy foods and supplements to try, buy, and takeaway
- Goody bag for all ticket holders, to include discounts & promotions from local businesses plus free samples
