Staffordshire Police are appealing for information and video from anyone who may have witnessed a burglary on the Fillybrooks in Stone around 8pm on Saturday 3rd of December, 2022.
Chief Inspector Giles Parsons told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We are investigating a burglary which took place around 8pm on 03/12/22 at an address on the Fillybrooks in Stone.
Patrols responded swiftly to this incident resulting in the arrest of 4 males who were initially suspected to be involved.
Following further enquiries the 4 males are not believed to be connected with the burglary, our enquiries are ongoing, anyone with information I would encourage to contact us quoting incident 720 of 03/12/22.”
We asked for clarification around comments circulating on social media relating to burglary happening on Manor Rise, to which we were informed:
“I do not have any reports of an incident in the Manor Rise area, if one has taken place please report it to us.”
Moving onto general advice to residents, Chief Inspector Parsons said:
“In the build-up to Christmas I would encourage people to consider their home security ensuring doors and windows are secured, even when in the house to deter opportunists.
If you see anyone behaving suspiciously please ensure it is reported to us, if you believe they are in the act or about to commit a crime this should be reported as an emergency dialling 999.”
