Police appeal for witnesses after an RTA in Stone

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the Lichfield Rd in Stone.

Staffordshire police released the following statement:

At around 12.20pm today (September 23rd), the collision occurred near the Weavers Lane junction between a motorbike and a mobility scooter. An 89-year-old man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital for further treatment.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service told A Little Bit of Stone:

“We were called at 12:18pm to reports of an RTC involving a car and patient on a mobility scooter on Lichfield Road, Stone. We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene. Crews treated a man, who was on the mobility scooter, for potentially serious injuries and he was conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.”
