Police are appealing for help to find four men who were involved in an incident in Barlaston on Sunday.
At around 8:30pm a 23 year old man got out of his car & was entering his house on Hall Gardens when four unknown male offenders approached him and forced their way into the house. One of the men was armed with a bladed instrument and demanded any cash or valuables in the house be handed over. The offenders made an untidy search of the house and a quantity of cash and gold jewellery was taken.
The householder sustained severe lacerations to his hands during a small scuffle, but managed to escape the offenders through the conservatory door and ran to get help. The offenders are believed to have made off in a vehicle.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his wounds which needed surgery.
Officers investigating the incident are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the offenders’ vehicle or who has relevant CCTV images.
