A man from Yarnfield died in a road traffic collision on the A500 in Stoke-on-Trent in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Staffordshire Police today named the two men who lost their lives. They were Marcus Smith from Yarnfield and Sean Longstaff from Woodhouse Street in Stoke-on-Trent. Both were 22.

The two men were passengers in a green Vauxhall Vectra which was in collision with a white articulated goods vehicle on the southbound carriageway of the A500 at Cliffe Vale at around 4.45am on Saturday 22nd August. Sadly, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
