Local officers on foot patrol discovered a significant amount of mess left across the play area at Westbridge Park on Monday 1 December, prompting a fresh reminder that police patrols in Stone have increased in recent months.

Officers came across the scene during a routine walk through the park. The force has confirmed that CCTV enquiries are now underway to identify who was responsible.
In a Staffordshire Smart Alert, PCSO Megan Rogers said,
“On 1st December whilst on foot patrol, local officers came across an extensive amount of mess on the play area at Westbridge Park.
Please be advised that CCTV enquiries are taking place and positive action will be taken against any persons identified who are found to be responsible.”
The message continued,
“There has been an increase of Police presence in Stone over recent months and Officers will continue to carry out foot patrols in the town not only to provide reassurance, but to ensure any persons partaking in anti-social behaviour and criminal activity will be held accountable.”
