Post number 1,000 – and a few thank yous!

This post is the 1,000th that’s appeared on A Little Bit of Stone since the site was born in September 2010 – an average of 45 articles every month all about this fantastic town!

Over 6,000 people now visit the site every month for the latest news, pictures, videos, events and more. But there’s none of that in this post – just a little bit of a thank you.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed stories, photographs and more to the site over the last 22 months. I work on the site in my spare time around the day job and the family – and I just couldn’t do it without you.

Thanks to everyone who’s written guest posts for the site. Special thanks to the site’s ace photographers Joshua Cope, Kris Grainger and Nick Carter; Tom Spruce for his sports articles; Philip Leason for his monthly history posts; Pete Roch for his monthly music blog; and Jack Taylor for his recipes and boundless enthusiasm.

Last but not least, huge thanks to Jon Cook, who’s been working on the site with me from the very beginning. He’s behind the scenes, working his tech magic, but the site wouldn’t exist without him. He’s also been doing sterling work on the Little Bit of Stone Business Directory that launches soon – thanks Jon.

If you’d like to join the crack team and contribute to the site in any way, just email hello@alittlebitofstone.com and I’ll be in touch.

Right, that’s the end of the thank yous! It’ll be business as usual from post 1,001 ;)
