Purely Dogs in Stone celebrates 6 years of providing everything that your dog needs – from food to toys and much more!
Purely Dogs has been supplying canine carers with the best quality food, treats, accessories, toys and more, as well as advice and support, for 6 years!
Starting from a dream talked about on dog walks on Downs Banks, Stone residents Carole and Sam have grown Purely Dogs into a thriving, resilient business.
Unfortunately, on the 26th of November 2021, a fire hit the site at Slaters Shopping Village, resulting in the loss of the shop. For the next several months, Purely Dogs became a mobile business, frequenting local farmers markets whilst continuing to offer a delivery service to their customers, ensuring no dog went hungry!
On the 10th of September the following year, Purely Dogs settled in to its new home on the Whitebridge estate here in Stone, when Abbie joined the team.
With a wider range of products than ever before and a particular focus on raw feeding, customers old and new (and their dogs!) have chosen to shop small and benefit from a local, independent service.
Carole Stone told us:
“As a local business, we strive to support other small local enterprises and have introduced our community board, providing FREE advertising for local doggy business in the area, as well as working on our new PARTNER SCHEME, providing benefits for both local traders and our own very special customers. We are also proud to be supporting therapy dogs Minnie and Rusty from two Stone schools. There’s lots more exciting news to come throughout the year as we continue to expand our services and product lines.
Keep an eye out for us at local events where we can often be found with a stall selling yummy treats and quality accessories, such as the recent charity dog show at Crown Wharf; or you might spot the van out and about delivering in the area.
We are so grateful to every single customer for choosing to buy their supplies from us and support a small business – it hasn’t been the easiest time for many independent retailers, especially during COVID lockdowns, and we wouldn’t be here without you. We like to think we can offer a personalised experience to all our customers, as well as the time to chat and help you find the perfect food, harness, or toy – something perhaps lacking at the big chain pet stores, and we hope you agree.
