Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations at St Michael’s First School

Julie Silvester, a teacher at St Michael’s First School in Stone, sent us these pictures of the school’s celebrations to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen’s recent 90th birthday.

The children and staff all came dressed in red, white and blue attire – very patriotic.  A tea party was held in the afternoon, which began with everyone singing the National Anthem.

Money was also raised for school funds in a novel way, by filling out a large drawn-out crown with silver coins – to the tune of £245.
