Really sad news that Radford Gallery will be closing down in September – but great to hear that owner Harriet Denson has some exciting artistic initiatives planned.
The Radford Street gallery will be closing its doors on Saturday 7th September.
Harriet said: “After four fantastic years I will be closing at The Radford Gallery. I want to say a big thank you to all the artists that have had faith in me and have supported me in my venture to begin with with open nights and workshops. And of course all my regular customers!
“I am starting a new venture called Radford Art Fairs and I hope to see old and new customers. I’m delighted to say that all the popular artists that have exhibited at the Radford Gallery will be joining me. The first Fair is on 5th October at St Dominic’s Social Centre in Station Road from 9.30am till 3pm. Artists include Phillip Hardaker, Rita Banks, Hilary Jefferies, Helen Silvera and many more.
“Also, I will be selling online and organising plenty of exhibitions and workshops in the future.”
Really sad to see the Radford Gallery go – all the very best to Harriet for her new ventures!

Harriet, I was sorry to hear that you are closing your gallery. I thought it was a very intuitive and a courageous thing to do, in a small town. You made everyone feel welcome whether buying or browsing.
