The rain wreaked havoc with Stone Cricket Club’s fixtures last weekend.
The SP 1st team didn’t get under way until 4.30pm at Hem Heath and only managed 11 overs – reaching 48-2 – before the rain returned. Stone 2nds bowled 34 overs at Bagnall/Norton and had restricted the home side to 154-9, with skipper Ian Banks taking three wickets before rain came again at tea, making further play impossible. Neither the 1sts nor SP seconds bowled a ball.
