Stone’s Regent Travel have chosen the town’s Community First Responders group as their charity of the year, and kicked things off in style with a cheque for £400.
Rather than sending Christmas cards in 2014, Regent staff decided the money would be better spent on helping the responders, and a cheque for the money raised was presented recently.
A spokeswoman said: “David and the Regent team have an enormous enthusiasm for raising money for the local community and every year we donate to a local charity. Our valued benefactors this year are delighted with the donation and staff have already begun planning events for the rest of the year.”
