What do YOU like about Stone? The Team at Stone Art Trail have been busy and they want to hear all about why Stone means something to you.
What’s your favourite place to look at, to sit in, to sit on, to wander and to walk? Does Stone
hold your heart, your head? Have you fallen in or fallen out in Stone, enjoyed all the fun of its
fare, savoured its sauces & celebrated its damned fine food? Just what is it you like about this
lovely old market town of ours?
The Team want your answers on a postcard! Open to all ages and abilities, buy a blank postcard or create your own. They want to see those postcards decorated in your own special way using anything you can get your hands on – inks, oils, acrylics, emulsion, watercolours, food colouring, pens, pencils, any medium you want to use!
You can write your answer & decorate it or you can simply draw or paint your answer. Then send it to the address given below together with the details as requested.
One postcard allowed per adult; one postcard allowed per child. The Stone Art Trail Team want to see postcards pouring in, weighing down the postman’s pack and dropping through the letterbox with a plop onto the mat each day. They will post your postcards across their social media platforms each day and will carefully keep your actual postcards to display to the Stone Art Trail visitors on the Stone Art Trail Grand Opening Day (May 23rd) and throughout the Art Trail month until June 20th.
“This is a fun way of inviting anyone and everyone, whatever their age or ability, to try putting pen to paper,” said Ingrid Wagner who heads up the Stone Art Trail PR Team. “It’s said that 45 minutes of creativity can help reduce the stress that we all live with in our fast paced society, so why not shut out the world for a while and see what getting involved with art can do for you.”
Send your decorated postcards telling the Team why you like Stone to: Stone Art Trail Post a Postcard, 88 Main Road, Milford, Stafford, ST17 0UW. Please include your name, the subject of your Postcard, where you live and what you used to draw or paint. Children under 12 please include your age.
You will be able to follow Stone Art Trail and see your postcards on their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
