Part of Uttoxeter Road in Stone will be closed at the start of October to allow works by Severn Trent Water to take place.
The closure will cover the stretch between the Little Stoke railway crossing and the traffic lights by the Three Crowns and Fairways Service Station. It is due to begin at 7am on Wednesday 1st October 2025 and is expected to be completed by 5pm on Thursday 2nd October 2025.
Access will be maintained for residents of the properties immediately affected, emergency services, and vehicles directly involved in the works. Pedestrian access will also remain open.
A signed diversion route will be in place while the road is closed.
Although the legal order allows the closure to remain in force for up to 18 months, the work is expected to be finished within the two days.
