Stone’s Pop School and Stage Academy is looking for youngsters who want to take part in Beauty And The Beast, their big annual show for 2011.
Set to take place at the Mitchell Memorial Theatre in Hanley in November, the show will feature beautifully designed sets and costumes and will give budding stars of the stage and screen great experience of performing in a professional standard production.
Rooftop Studios principle Elaine Bird said: “Beauty And The Beast is set to be a real spectacular – we’re investing heavily in set and costumes and our wardrobe mistress Nikki Clare has already come up with some fabulous designs, so the students are all very excited.
“We’ve got some fantastic roles left, from named characters through to chorus parts, so this represents a great opportunity for talented youngsters looking to become accomplished performers to really showcase their skills.
“Being a musical production, all cast members will have the opportunity to act, sing and dance so they’ll gain real all-round performance experience and will also enjoy the process of rehearsals as we start to focus on the big production during our Saturday classes from May onwards.”
To become a part of what looks set to be a real show to remember, wannabe stars will need to sign up to Rooftop Studios’ PSSA classes, which take place every Saturday, before next term starts in May – those keen to find out more are welcome to attend a free trial class on Saturday 30th April.
