Stone performing arts school Rooftop Studios welcomed some 200 guests on Friday 29th June to enjoy evening of free classes and performances marking its 25th anniversary.
Revellers were entertained by staff and students and had the chance to see the newly-renovated studio, along with enjoying taster classes in everything from ballet and tap to street dance and drum skills.
Studio director, Laura Keeling says:
“The party was a huge success and it was great to celebrate 25 years of Rooftop Studios with so many familiar and new faces. Our journey in Stone High Street began with my mum Elaine Bird who was Principal at the studio until I officially took the reins four years ago. Over the years, the studio and the classes offered have evolved to reflect trends but our ethos of providing quality training in the performing arts in a warm and friendly environment has remained the same.
“Looking to the future, we have undergone a major renovation of the studio which has given us additional space allowing us to extend our programme of classes. The aim is to create a creative hub in the heart of Stone, where all areas of dance, drama, music and art can be explored and the party was the perfect platform to launch our new vision.”
Starting from September 2018, the studio will have an exciting new timetable, which was unveiled as part of the night’s celebrations. Alongside the studio’s long-running favorites like RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, LAMDA Drama and Saturday Stage Academy classes a host of new additions including Cheerleading, Performance Troupe, Boys Break and street and Adult Ballet, Jazz and Vocal smash will offer something for all ages.
