A Stone performing arts school has invited young fans of the all-singing, all-dancing hit drama Glee to follow in the footsteps of their TV idols.
At Rooftop Studios in the town centre, youngsters can enrol at the Pop School & Stage Academy, where professional tutors help to draw out talent and nurture confident performers.
Classes take place every Saturday and run for three hours, when the students split into groups according to age and spend 40 minutes each on singing, dance and drama. After a short break the whole group comes together to focus on performance.
Rooftop Studios principal Elaine Bird said: “It’s fantastic that shows like Glee are encouraging more youngsters to take an interest in the performing arts. Our Pop School & Stage Academy offers a fantastic opportunity for children to develop skills and confidence while, above all, having fun.”
While the Pop School & Stage Academy offers opportunities for students between eight and 18, there are two Little Luvvies classes on Saturdays too, for children between three and five, and six and eight.
