Stone Rotary Club raised more than £2,000 in their street collection for Children in Need today (Friday 14th November).
Rotarians braved the downpours this morning to collect from people in the town centre and from motorists at the Christchurch Way / High Street junction. Staff at Barclays in the High Street started to count the cash from the dozens of buckets – including one kind staff member who went in to work on her day off to help out – and will finish the job on Monday, when a final total will be revealed. But it’s definitely over £2,000!
Members of the Rotary Club also visited schools and nurseries around the town all this week with a very special guest – Pudsey himself! You can see lots more photos from this week’s activities on the Stone Rotary Club Facebook page HERE
