A month’s free swim pass is up for grabs in an Olympic-themed challenge at Alleyne’s Sports Centre.

Anyone who signs up to any of Stafford Borough Council’s multi-activity days at Alleyne’s over the summer school holidays can take part in a timed challenge to row 2012 metres.

The challenge will be split into two categories – under-16s and 16 and over. The fastest rower in each category will win a pass, with the top 10 rowers also having their names and times added to a leaderboard.

The indoor rowing challenge will be open at the ‘Active8’ sessions, where youngsters have the opportunity to take part in a structured programme of sports and pool activities led by qualified coaches.
