Stone mayor Rob Kenney has called on the town council to hold a street party in the High Street on Friday 29th April when Prince William marries Kate Middleton.
The mayor also asked at the recent council meeting that the town take part in the National Chain of Beacons that is due to be held on the Friday evening. Stone previously joined a beacon chain to mark the new millennium.
