Commenting on his selection, Sam Hale said:
“I’m delighted to be given this opportunity again to represent my home constituency and the community in which I was born and raised. I look forward to working with local residents from all across the constituency to tackle the cuts to local services we are seeing.
“I have no doubt that this is going to be a tough election, but we are building a solid team of local supporters and volunteers throughout the constituency.
“I am fighting for the same principles as I did two years ago – a decent minimum wage, the tackling of corporate tax avoidance and greater investment in our NHS.”
