Santa and the Stone Round Table are ready to spread festive joy across Stone. Check out this year’s tour dates and join the effort to find a cosy shelter for Santa’s sleigh!
As the festive season approaches, the streets of Stone are about to twinkle with more than just Christmas lights. The Stone Round Table has again collaborated with Santa to organise the much-anticipated annual Sleigh Tour. This enchanting tradition not only delights children and families but also embodies the spirit of giving by raising funds for local charities.
A Festive Route to Remember This year, Santa’s journey through Stone is meticulously planned to cover the corners of our town:
The 2023 tour dates are as follows:
- Thur 7th December – Whitebridge, Newcastle Rd & A34 estate
- Sun 10th December – North Stone
- Tues 12th December – Manor Rise, Fillybrooks & Udall Grange
- Thur 14th December – Cherryfields & Miller’s Reach
- Sat 16th December – Lichfield Rd, Coppice & Priory
- Sun 17th December – Tilling Drive, Pirehill, Common Lane & Langton Green
- Tues 19th December – Saxifrage & estates around Three Crowns
- Thur 21st December – Aston Lodge
Each location has been chosen to ensure Santa can see as many residents as possible in the time he has available. The tour will commence at 6 pm on weekdays and a festive 4 pm on weekends, allowing ample time for everyone to join in the celebration.
Community Support: While Santa’s sleigh is robust for the night sky, it needs a safe haven on the ground. The Round Table is seeking help from the Stone community to provide indoor storage for the sleigh in the three weeks leading up to Christmas. This act of kindness will ensure that Santa’s ride is in tip-top condition for its important festive mission.
