Saturday Swap Shop a big success

A great Saturday Swap Shop took place in Stone on 13th November.

The Swap Till You Drop event took place at St Dominic’s Social Centre in Station Road and was organised by Transition Stone. People were given a swap ticket for each item they brought along, which they could ‘spend’ on other items. Everyone also got one free ticket on entry.

There were lots of clothes, books, CDs, children’s toys and household items on offer, with dozens of people swapping items throughout the day – and there were some great homemade cakes as well!

Organisers hope to make the swap shops a regular event, perhaps with themed events as well. To find out more about Transition Stone, log on to www.transitionstone.org.uk
