Are you offended by Lymestone Brewery’s pump clip artwork for their new Sharon Stone ale? A couple of Staffordshire pubs certainly are after not allowing it in their boozers.
The pump clip pokes fun at the infamous scene in Basic Instinct where Sharon Stone crosses her legs and, well, reveals a bit too much. Brad from Lymestone wouldn’t reveal which pubs had taken offence, although he said that it was available with the pump clip in lots of pubs.
Brad said: “When we first opened the brewery almost four years ago, one of the ale names that we came up with was Sharon Stone. It was a bit of a joke really and we had a good laugh about it. But a few weeks ago we brewed a special ale for a wholesaler in Leeds whose sales worker was called Sharon. We thought, now’s the time for Sharon Stone!
“We said to AMI Creatives who design all our pump clips to be cheeky and to have a bit of fun with it. One of the pubs who won’t take it said they were laughing their socks off at it but didn’t want to see it on their bar. They asked if we had an alternative pump clip, which we don’t to be honest.
“We wanted to be cheeky but not to be vulgar. Some people may be offended but the aim has been to have a laugh.”

To be very frank if that if offensive then why havent the pubs said anything about the ‘Top Totty’ i think both are fine it is just being very stupid!
