Businesses and community groups in Stone are being invited to see their work promoted in flowers at Stonefield Park.
Stafford Borough Council is looking for an emblem or logo to be created in flowers for the carpet bed at the park. Businesses and community groups have until Friday 30th November to tell the council why their logo should take centre stage in the park.
This year the carpet bed in Stonefield Park marked 22 years of Stone in Bloom. Last year it marked the 40th anniversary of Stone Male Voice Choir. What will it be in 2013?
Councillor Mike Smith, cabinet member for leisure, said: “There must be plenty of businesses and organisations in our community who would love to see their work celebrated in this unique way.”
Nominations need to say why the local organisation should take pride of place in the park and should be emailed to Customer Liaison Officer David Roberts at dcroberts@staffordbc.gov.uk. You can also write to him at Stafford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford ST16 3AQ. For further details call 01785 619368. The planting of the bed will take place in June.
