Second crash in a week on Uttoxeter Road

 

A car passenger had to be cut free when three people were injured during a crash on Uttoxeter Road in Coton, the second serious accident on the stretch of road in the space of a week.

The latest crash happened at around 10.50pm on Monday night. Three fire crews from Stafford and Stone attended the incident just outside Stone and three casualties were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Last Thursday morning, motorcyclist and local drummer Paul Murfin from Oulton was killed when his Triumph bike collided with a HGV on the same road.
