Green-fingered Aston residents are holding a Secret Gardens Open Day on Sunday 26th July.

The event, which takes place from 10am to 4pm on the day, is being held to raise funds for the community village hall.  All gardens close to the hall, just past the A34 and A51 junction, will be featured.

Everyone is invited to join the residents and visit their delightful gardens.  Some have lakes and rivers, and are all within close proximity of each other so you don’t even have to walk miles to enjoy a leisurely day out. There will be ample opportunity to talk to the villagers who created the gardens, pick up a few horticultural hints, and purchase the odd plant to take home. Why not round off the afternoon by stopping for a cream tea in one of the picturesque gardens, and maybe treat yourself to a local homemade cake to enjoy back at home?

Admission is just £3 for adults, and free for children accompanied by an adult. For more details contact Michael Jones on 01785 813039 or via email – mj.3@btinternet.com
