There’s lots going on in Stone if you want to see in the New Year in style. Here’s our guide to what’s going on at pubs and other venues across the town on New Year’s Eve…
The Crown Hotel have a free New Year’s Eve party with a live DJ and buffet in the Hollands restaurant. The fun starts at 7.30pm.
The Swan have a New Year’s Eve party with top 80s tribute band Back To The Future, and there’s a free glass of bubbly for everyone to see in 2016. Tickets cost £3 and are available from the pub. Be quick, though, as there aren’t many left.
The Talbot have a free jukebox and nibbles and are promising a good time for everyone who goes along. Tickets are available now, with last entry at 10.30pm.
At the Crown and Anchor in Granville Square, DJ Wayne will be marking his 15th New Year’s Eve party at the C&A. The theme is ‘Dress to Impress’ and tickets at £7.50 are available now.
There’s an 80s disco at The Red Lion in the High Street with DJ Glyn. There’s free entry and no ticket in advance is required.
The live music at Granvilles for their New Year party comes from Live Wires. Tickets at £17.50 are available from the venue in Granville Square.
The Star has a family-friendly New Year’s Eve party. They’ll be dedicating their restaurant to family-friendly fun with loads of party games, disco, a buffet suitable for all and a midnight toast for those old enough to enjoy a bit of fizz! Cost is just £10 per family. Call The Star on 01785 813096 to book.
The Stone House Hotel has two parties – one just for adults, and a child-friendly way to see in the New Year for families. For adults, there’s a four-course feast, live entertainment and disco, with tickets at £62 per guest. The family party in the Garden restaurant sees a buffet and disco until 1am, with tickets priced at £38, with children under 12 at £25 and under-fives free of charge. In Barlaston, the traditional Wassail will be held again, with a parade through the village around midnight. And there’s a Horrible Histories-style panto for the whole family at 4.30pm in the village hall, too. Full details HERE
