The Signposts Centre in Stone will be celebrating its second birthday on Friday (13th September) by hosting a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event will be held at Signposts Stone – in the Frank Jordan Centre on Lichfield Street – between 11am and 2pm.
Signposts is a non-profit-making organisation that was set up to make a positive difference in the lives of people in the local area and to the community as a whole.
The Signposts Centre is a drop in centre for all. Its main purpose is to offer hospitality – tea and coffee, toast and internet access are provided free. It is open for anyone to call in, have a chat, socialise, seek support or to browse the internet.
Signposts staff are always on hand to help, listen and help those needing outside help who might not otherwise seek it , or have difficulty in doing so. The atmosphere of the centre is relaxed and informal.
Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30am to 1pm, and Tuesday afternoons 1pm to 3pm (where there is Body4Life – a free healthy lifestyle/ weight loss group on the 1st and 3rd weeks) and a job club (2nd and 4th weeks).
