The new Crown Wharf venue and theatre has made huge progress recently after the pandemic had put the brakes on work in 2020, ALBOS were lucky enough to be invited to take a peek inside!
Aiming for opening sometime this summer (2021), the pub, owned by Joule’s brewery is really starting to take shape and the scale of the build is obvious.
The Crown Wharf Theatre, which was recently handed over to the Crown Wharf Theatre charity, is looking like it’s going to be an amazing space for the town. The balcony and roof are now in place, and the flooring will be the next big thing to go in as well as the backstage areas.
Also on the site will be a Stone heritage centre which Joule’s and Stone Town Council signed a lease on earlier this year.
We’re very much looking forward to the day when we can have a pint in the bar and head in to enjoy a show!
