St. Michael and St. Wulfad’s Church are holding another of their popular Heritage Days on Saturday 1st October from 10am to 4pm.
There’ll be the chance to have a guided tour of the church and, weather permitting, for those with a head for heights to climb the tower, whereupon they’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the town from the unique vantage point once they’ve reached the top.
( The photos are from when we climbed the tower in 2012, check out our report here – https://alittlebitofstone.com/2012/09/08/view-from-the-heavens-at-st-michaels/ )
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see inside the Jervis Mausoleum and there will be a display of military items associated with Stone and a display on Earl St. Vincent.
