**Don’t let a pickpocket spoil your day**

– Pickpockets will use distraction techniques and you won’t feel them stealing from you.
– Bumping into you and as you turn to look someone else has their hand in your pocket/handbag.
– Asking for the time or directions.

– Keep your wits about you and your valuables out of sight.
– Don’t put your money or wallet in a back pocket or in a backpack – it could be taken in seconds.
– Carry your bag close to you and so that it opens facing you. Keep a hand on it.
– Don’t leave bags with valuables on a wheelchair, motorised scooter, prams or pushchairs.

If a crime is in progress or a life is in danger please call the Police on ‘999’ emergency.

Call ‘101’ or report the crime via the Staffordshire Police website for any Non-Emergency incidents.
